DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

A SYMBOL OF EXCELLENCE, INNOVATION AND INTEGRITY

OVERVIEW

The Environmrntal Sciences department is dedicated to the students of Multan region to study of animal biology, its different fields like behavior, Genetics, Physiology, Developmental Biology, Fisheries, General Biochemistry and Evolution. The department offers a range of undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs that provide students of the locality with a comprehensive education in Environmrntal Sciences and related fields.
The faculty members are national and international highly qualified and they in the department are actively engaged in research on a variety of topics, including animal behavior, ecology, conservation biology, evolutionary biology, and molecular biology. The department also has state-of-the-art research facilities, including laboratories and animal care facilities, which allow students to conduct hands-on research in these areas.
The Environmrntal Sciences Department at Emerson University aims to provide students with a solid foundation in animal biology and prepare them for careers in a range of fields, including research, education, conservation, and veterinary medicine. The department is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills while also gaining a deeper understanding of the natural world.

MISSION

  • The mission of environmental science is to study and understand the complex interactions between humans and the environment.
  • It’s all about finding ways to promote sustainable practices, conserve natural resources, and protect biodiversity.
  • By doing so, we can create a healthier and more balanced planet for current and future generations.
  • It’s an exciting mission that requires collaboration and innovative thinking. Let’s do our part to make a positive impact together.

SCOPE OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

  • The scope of environmental science is incredibly vast and fascinating! It covers a wide range of topics, including studying ecosystems, analyzing pollution and its effects, examining climate change, and exploring sustainable solutions. Environmental scientists work in fields like conservation, renewable energy, waste management, and more.
  • It’s a field that constantly evolves as we discover new ways to protect and preserve our environment.
  • There’s always something new and exciting happening in environmental science.

SCOPE

The scope of environmental science departments in universities is quite promising. With increasing awareness about environmental issues, there’s a growing demand for professionals who can address these challenges. Graduates can find opportunities in various fields like environmental consulting, research, policy-making, education, and more. Additionally, as sustainability becomes a priority for businesses and governments, job prospects are expected to remain strong.

Graduates of environmental science have diverse career opportunities across various sectors. Some common career paths include:

  1. Environmental Consultant: Providing expertise to businesses, government agencies, or NGOs on environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and impact assessments.
  2. Environmental Scientist: Conducting research, collecting data, and analyzing environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, and biodiversity I.
  3. Sustainability Specialist: Developing and implementing strategies to reduce environmental impact, increase resource efficiency, and promote sustainable development within organizations.
  4. Environmental Educator: Teaching and raising awareness about environmental issues in schools, museums, nature centers, and community organizations.
  5. Environmental Engineer: Designing and implementing solutions to environmental problems, such as waste management systems, water treatment faces, and renewable ↓ energy projects.
  6. Climate Change Analyst: Studying the impacts of climate change, assessing mitigation and adaptation strategies, and contributing to climate policy development.
