OVERVIEW

The Department of Political Science and International Relations at Emerson University Multan offers dynamic and comprehensive academic programs for students passionate about understanding the intricacies of Political systems and global affairs. With a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, our department prepares students to become informed, analytical, and ethical leaders in a rapidly changing world.

Our department offers three distinct BS programs: International Relations, Political Science and Defense Strategic Studies. In the Political Science program, students explore the theories, institutions, and processes that shape domestic and international politics. Through courses covering topics such as political theory, comparative politics, public policy, and multiple global governments, students gain a deep understanding of the forces driving political dynamics at local, national, and global levels.

In the International Relations program, students examine the complex interactions between states, non-state actors, and global institutions in the pursuit of peace, security, and cooperation. Through courses in international politics, diplomacy, global governance, conflict resolution, and regional studies, students develop the analytical skills and cross-cultural understanding necessary to navigate the complexities of the international arena. These programs emphasize critical thinking, research skills, and experiential learning opportunities to prepare students for diverse career paths in government, non-profit organizations, international agencies, law, journalism, academia, and more. Our dedicated faculty members are active scholars and practitioners with expertise in a wide range of areas, including democracy and governance, human rights, environmental politics, security studies, and international development. Through our comprehensive BS programs in Political science, Defense and Strategic Studies  & International Relations, we strive to equip our students with the knowledge, skills and perspectives necessary to navigate the complexities of the contemporary Political land scape. Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in Political theory, comparative politics, international Relations, and research methodology, while also encouraging interdisciplinary exploration and practical application.
